Initially working in the wholesale fabric business, the Kigili Family entered the manufacturing industry in 1967, when Yahya Kigili started manufacturing fabrics. In 1969, Mr. Kigili launched the Kastamonu integrated chipboard plant, and in 1987, he founded Hayat Kimya, thus entering the FMCG industry. Hayat Kimya is one of the two locomotive companies behind the Holding. Hayat Kimya operates in the FMCG industry since 1987, manufactures goods in hygiene, tissue and home care categories offering well established brands such as Bingo (detergents and home cleaning category), Molfix (baby diapers), Molped (feminine care category), Papia, Familia, Focus & Teno (cleansing tissue categories), finally Joly and Evony (adult diaper categories). Hayat Kimya’s headquarters is located in Turkey and has subsidiaries in Iran, Egypt, Bulgaria, Algeria, Morocco, Russia and Nigeria employs nearly 8.000 people today around the world.
